HI GUYS!!
I THINK IT IS GREAT TO SEE SO MANY GIRLS OUT ON THE WATER INSTEAD OF SITTING ON THE BEACH WATCHING THEIR BOYFRIENDS HAVING ALL THE FUN! I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE GUYS THAT SAIL DOWN AT LUCKY BAY FOR BEING SO FANTASTIC AND WELCOMING OF CHICKS STARTING TO LEARN HOW TO SAIL. IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO PASS SOMEONE AND HAVE THEM SHOUTING ENCOURAGEMENT TO YOU RATHER THAN HAVE THEM PASS YOU ONLY TO USE YOU AS A GYBE MARK!! YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL AND I WANTED YOU TO KNOW HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOUR ONGOING SUPPORT. NOW IF ONLY I CAN NAIL GYBES MYSELF.......

This is one of the coolest aspects of the sport As well as the windsurfing crew being one of the friendliest, most helpfull bunch of people you are liable to come across.

There is quite a few ladies who sail Safety bay and rip along, they don't slow down when they breeze on by.

Down in Mandurah there is local Avalon Sailer Dorothy a grand mother who kicks bottom and sails a couple of km's offshore during summer.

Hardies Boss who regularly harasses the local Kiting fraternity on the estuary, and has one sweet jibe going on (not a stylish Splatter like yours truely).

Maxine who charges the avi waves as hard as any one else and has a tendency to go past you as a little redsailed blur.

What I've noticed with the female fraternity is as they often don't have the strength of most men, but they tend to sail smarter and with more finess (I still work of the Brute force and ignorance approach).

I myself would love to get my boss into it, to me nothing would be cooler.

I recon the more chicks, ladies, grandmothers etc in the sport the better.

Besides... Ya can't knock a fit woman dressed in rubber ..Hmmmmm[}:)]

I repect any women who is out on the water with me...

With the advancements in gear these days, sailing for women has become a lot easier. no longer a strength issue...

I look forwards to hopefully build up the WWA female social side of things...

The positives of having a wife who sails, windsurfing holidays, windsurfing budget, it's total understanding and never any nagging about windsurfing

The negatives of have a wife who sails, is she pinches all of my good gear NOT HAPPY HUN

OUCH!!!!!, I just got slapped on the back of the head, she was standing right behind me

She just said she doesn't pinch anything because it's OUR STUFF

Just can't get my head around this "our stuff", business with "my" windsurfing gear.... OUCH!!!!!

I tried to get my girlfriend into windsurfing,,
I didnt rush her because i didnt want to put her off it..

when i used to live with her; one benefit of not having a girlfriend who windsurfs is that i come home all cold and smelling from the river, i would have a hot shower, when i finish there would usually be hot meal is already on the table waiting for me.
after a while she was content knowing that i would be home before dark, and would be happy to wait...

Yep Hardie, know the feeling. I too now have the "OUR" gear debarcle. Got to be quick to rig so I get the sail I want
You obviously know that; what is yours is hers, what you share is hers and don't even think of touching any of her stuff!
Hopefully this season with a much smaller board as part of "HER" quiver might slow her down for a little while

Stop slagging me off please

Silverback: I dont live with her cause she got a job working in the VIP section of the BEST hotel in singapore. She will be serving presidents/kings/royalties of many countries.

Spot1: she will always be younger than your partner (male or female).

big flatus: Unlike your partner (male or female) she did not have an ABN number nor did she collect GST, and she didnt provide me with a receipt each time.

I once knew a girl who went to Japan to be a golf caddy. Sounds like a similar arrangement. Good luck to her.

Hi,

I've had to delete a few posts in this thread, as they caused complaints, and they were a bit over the top. I guess everybody is a bit frustated at the lack of wind!

Have fun, but no need for personal insults thanks!

Cheers .. Laurie

She will be checking them in and out of the Shangri-La hotel.

Does Singapore use ABN numbers?

Thanks Laurie,

The thread was realy starting to lose the plot there.

Which was originally about our fairer cohorts windsurfing.

When you are out there "doing your Thang"
whether you are a chick or a bloke, it dosn't matter, you get equal respect.

Thats the beauty about the windsurfing and kiting fraternity.

When you get down to it I bet you couldn't name another sport in the world where your gender dosn't matter, you get respect any way.
