Hi all,

I'm a wave sailor based in Perth W.A. and I'm currently going thru' that difficult process of deciding which sail brand to update to. Will need to buy a full set so the decision is causing a bit of pain. What do you think about the Charge?

I weigh 75Kg and I'm looking for a strong, powerfull sail that has a good wind range.

Cheers

Matt Bancroft

well matt,
it is a hard choice and a wrong one will haunt you forever, or until you by more sails. at the moment i have an 05 naish boxer which is a nice little sail and has a massive wind range. (i have tried it in 13-40kn, though that was more bad descions then anything else but it worked). Its not a great speed sail though in the surf and for my half assed freestyle it is great.

Life is but a dream, from which we all must wake.

the new neil prydes wave sails are looking good, check the NP website for more info...
the graphics look neat and tidy and they look even better rigged.

Im a gaastra man myself. Love the feel, and the construction is excellent.

I matter of personal preference i think!

I sail Aerotech charges and I love them! They are really tuneable and sail really well overpowered. Consruction is awesome, the only brand I have ever seen that is 100% x-ply, even on the middle panel. The only hole I got was when I broke a mast, but you get that with pretty much eveything except gaastra, and I have hammered the sails (just ask Leper) . I have 4 aerotechs and I have not problems with them at all (except the new ones are coming out and I can't afford the upgrade!) The new models look totally awesome. They should be arriving at SOS in 2 weeks, so come and check em out. We have some of the current model left too that are going dirt cheap.
Even though I work at the shop, I still have to pay for my sails, so yeah, I believe in them.

Matt I haven't tried out the aerotech but Ive tried out a lot of sail brands and for wind range control and strength you can't beat the tushingham rock!
Greenroom wake up you've gotta try a rock.

At the end of the day, you find something you like, and i it will be a good sail... all of the not so good sail companies have disappeared over time.

Cheers for the feedback all. I ended up buying a set of the 04 Aerotechs and a few other new toys; skinnys, fin etc. Thanks SOS.

Running out of excuses...
