After the wind swung SW and picked up to 30knots it was decided to move from Thirsty point north to the Boat mooring Beach.
This provided an excellent if a little tricky speed course, running 300 metres of smoooth water. The tricky bit was getting through the rough stuff to the smooth bit.
I thought I had wipe out of the day after crashing at 50ks'. However Miles spectacularly crashed at 53k's, smashing mast track and body.

The larger Sailors had the advantage and Reg clocked 58ks+ with a 5.2 Zone. Claude wanted to gain 15kgs but knocked back the offer of a couple of bricks in his harness.
With the sailing within 10 metres of the beach it was possible to see up close the great technique the fast folks have.
Overall a fantastic day of sailing.
Big thanks to Anne-Marie on the speed gun, and record keepers Maureen, Tania and Kelly.
Cu next time
