I may have a chance to get a lift to the beach at Currumbin on Friday the 5th. Is it a good spot to sail, if there's wind?

its fun on a ne but its onshore, and ideal when its se, but it's rarely se at currumbin even though it can be se at the broadwater. it has sucked in many a sailor who thought that just because it was se at train/shearwater it would be se at currumbin, but unfortunately it was still very south when they got there. friday should be a northerly and should be fun
on a north easterly forecast, if it gets too much east at currumbin it tends to die back, and it gets windier further north along the coast. kirra has the same problem as currumbin with the wind dying when there is more east than nne. in summer, best northerly sailing is in the morning at currumbin / kirra before it gets too east, then best sailing up north (train/shearwater/narrowneck/miami) during the arvo as it gets more east in it. in summer it can often be blowing 20knots at kirra/currumbin at 6am, then it slowly dies back to 10 knots by 11am

Thanks. Too much info for me to digest...I have a very limited attention span. I think I'll just stay at Broadbeach!
