Yesterday sailed a new location at Hindmarsh Island Lhs of the bridge and was an afternoon to be remembered.
Great to get out with Sam and Chris D and try a new sailing spot as boggy seems to not be working with south easterly winds. After talking the boss - that is the boss at work into letting me go i got there at 3.30 and on the water by 4pm.
The wind was gusty and the water seemed choppy. Sailed up and down for a while and it was getting dark. Sam talked me into 1 more run and that ended up being the best run of the day. The wind seemed to have swung slightly more easterly and allowed for better angle along speed strip.
On the way back Sam and myself couldn't get right back to shore. Instead we ditched our gear in the bushes and had to walk 1.5km back to our cars. On the way back with helmet and wetsuits on some people must have thought we were mad in wetsuits in sub 6 degree temp's. After locating our gear up the road we decided to move a wooden stake so we could get to our gear and got told off by a deaf lady with a torch for being on her property. Great fun and action packed weekly session. The rs racing is amazing to use in some decent wind at last.
