Hi Guys,
Looking for some advice. I plan to take my missus away to celebrate our wedding anniversary in November/December.
She wants:
Warmth, good beach, some grass and playground for our daughter and shops within walking distance from the beach/accomodation.
I want:
As above + large expanse of flatwater + windsurf hire shop on the shore.

Looking to stay about a week and want to try some different gear and learn to water start.
I am low end of intermediate skill level.

We live Adelaide and will fly / hire car to get where-ever.
Appreciate any ideas.

Given the skill level and the missus wish list, Lancelin. 1hr north of Perth, plenty for the kids to do etc.

Plenty of hire gear right on the beach.

Thanks Guys,
WA looks the go - Lancelin / Werners seems great combination.
We will put in a few days in Perth and will try Swan/ Albert Cove and a couple of local beaches i have seen covered on the forums.
Budget won't stretch to Maui
Cheers

novicof, red from VIC put this up last year some time I think) sent him a PM and he indicated it was a good spot for him (windsurf) and partner (resort and shopping) and at a very good price.

Hey Novicof, we are in the same boat this year, cant afford to do Maui this year, so looking at WA this Summer, prolly gonna be there around Christmas - New Years.....might see you there.

Maui will have to wait another year :(

Over the border (Vic), Portland.....no w/surf hire, although as for try different gear.........have you ever had the pleasure of experiencing an '80s bombora (you can keep it after you ride it!!!) Plenty of fun for kids, accommodation on beach, CHEAP!! As much water as you want. You might have to fight for a spot with the fishermen though!! Good company as long as you can keep up with the locals in the drinking stakes!!!

Hi Guys,
Will let this topic slide off into oblivion.
Thanks for the suggestions - have checked out Lancelin on the web and keen to get there.
Portland can be a later option but Lancelin will take some beating for what we want.
Divaldo - I was thinking around Christmas but had a better thought - wife's 40th is in February. Will combine the anniversary and her 40th into a longer trip to WA. She doesn't know how lucky she is.
Cheers
