Needing to lubricate a centreboard.
Have considered Silicon spray,
have had suggested McLubes Sail cote..but after finding out the ingrediants it seems to likely to be damaging
so back to silicon spray

Does Silcon spray create any problems on epoxy or more specially the various materials inside board.
Perhaps it would be safe to use to release my centreboard which just wont budge when dry.

Ive thought about using sheep oil...wool juice...lanolin i guess its called...but it is supposed to wash off in water...i would imagine it would be safe on epoxy

any suggestions please. apart from give up on centreboards..hee hee

Go with Silicon spray, I used it for about 4 years of racing and still use it occassionally. No problems. I find the lanolin spray washes off quickly.

I raced dinghys as a child and one of the coaches recommended sunscreen for centreboards.
