I sailed Tweed river today, marginal conditions, I'd finished up when imagine my surprise when I saw another mad keen windsurfer out there! Yep Dave had joined in, although with his 5.2 he was having even more trouble than me to get planing...

Wind was 8-12 knots, almost no whitecaps on the 10cm chop.

I spent 2 hours on the water, and between me and Dave we had a combined total of 10 seconds planing time.

Still, good to get wet, beats sailing a desk I guess.

Hi Hobie. Easy to find out it was you- just looked at your profile under your posting and it gave your name. Had 3+ hours on sat at Manly with Simon and Scotty. 15kts s-e and long runs out to the Darcy Light and back. GPS showing speeds in the low 20s, so it was just cruising fun, but good to be on the water with mates. The 'secret weapon' on the bottom of your new board has been a good talking point- Mistral must believe it works or they wouldn't have done it. I myself believe it should work- the proof will be in the sailing with it on, then off. Catch you soon- prob at the first slalom day.
