Mandurah's fastest windsurfer Elmo Crutcheater is putting out a challenge to all speedsailors!!!!!!

He's confident he can beat anyone over 500 metres at the speed run in the Mandurah estuary.

The Mandurah Windsurfing club is putting up $15K in prize money for this years speed series.

Entry forms can be obtained from the president of the club Decrepit.

Apologies to all those who have sailed on the estuary and have slowed down to give me a wave as they have sailed on by.

The answer to the question is NO there are a schidt load of people quicker than me, some on older gear as well.

Respect to all, including kiters (steel gonads there) who push their limits of speed

We'll organise an informal event when the weather looks good that is no swell and lot's of wind.

When I have some money from this pathetic business of mine, I'll sponsor an event through WWA.

Maybe if we can get some doe together may get some cheap trophies.

Will have to watch out that it doesn't become too big, or else will need council permission, indemnity insurance etc, so will have to be totally informal, and not called an EVENT!
OOps the K was an error!

That was meant to be $15.00, $10 first prize, $3 second and $2 third.

We have 2 GPS units between us and I'll loan mine out to those that don't have one.

Stay Tuned here.

PS. Don't forget Elmo has only been sailing seriously for a little bit over 2 years, how quick is he gonna be when he gets more sailing time under his belt!!

Well we could make the entrance fee $1K all we need is 30 punters, and we can PROMISE the original prizes.

And have a good holiday in paradise!!!

if a windsurfer or kiter had $1k in their pocket it would probably be because they were on the way to their favorite supplier to spend it on new toys

Sheesh, no need to crush me like an insignificant bug Hardie,
I already know I'm slow
I've seen some of the jellies at the river having a snicker behind their backs (figuratively speaking, no backbone an all) as they overtake me on a downwind run

maybe you could introduce some sort of anti speed event, then us old and fat wannabees could some sort of false sense of hope.

Is there a boobie prize for slowest

no worries,
I'll leave the humour to Hardie in the future,

actually forgot it was fathers day, so sunday is out
if your doing any more speed runs over the season remember to post the details, I could do with the $10 bucks winning prize
