I arrived at the carparking area to see white caps

Jumped out of the Hilux Surf and ran around to the back to grab a board

Was running down the access track with board under arm when couple of big NZ lads started calling to me "Aye bro, aye bro, is that your car?"

I dropped the board and ran back up to the carpark to see a crowd gathered and my car gone

Seeing my perplexed looked the big kiwi and his mates point down to the bottom of a gully near to where the Hilux was previously parked.
Fearing the worst I looked over the edge to see my car about 15 feet below sitting on a 45 degree angle

The boys said the car slowly started rolling along pushed by the wind edging ever closer to the drop off.
They said the whole car leaned up on two wheels as it went over the edge but somehow didn't roll over, it just drove itself to the bottom of this gully and came to rest in some soft bushes.
These boys climbed down into the gully and all sat side on the high side of the Hilux to stop it rolling further while I engaged low range and manoeuvred to some flatter ground.
Meanwhile a large crowd had gathered in the carpark to watch.
Now the kiwi lads were acting as crowd control and cleared an area ready for my re-entry into the carpark.
The first attempt failed as I had about a 5 meter run up to a 15 foot high incline.
Second attempt I got the little hilux airborne launching back into higher ground, to the applause of the kiwis some but to the obvious concern of most terrified onlookers.
I thanked the lads and parked the car, making sure the apply the handbrake this time

What makes this so embarrassing, my apartment was directly across the road from where this all unfolded and my neighbours saw it all from their balconies.
