Well an interesting couple of days! We peaked at 60 knots, but that was at night. There was periods yesterday when it was pretty consistent 35-40 so some good sailing was to be had on the bay, nobody stupid enough to try the wave spots though.
Having a broken ankle I was pretty positive about 2 days of good wind.

150mm of rain has pretty much buggered 9 mile, the road has a ditch carved thru it about 4m wide and 2m deep. The walk down to the beach (which always was pretty nasty) is now an abseil.

Oh yeah and......

had a ripper speed course! The cyclepath along the esplanade has a grassed rise on each side, we ended up with it filled up to about 10m wide, waist deep and about 500m long. Cross shore 40kn at that time..... but the water only lasted for an hour or so. Would have loved to try it!

If you do come across one, even a little one, heck even a tropical zephyr would do, I'd be glad to take it off your hands, just send it over here pleeeease...

*crosses fingers for next week*
