Anybody had any experience of the 07 and 08 Infinity and Freeride sails?
From what I can see the Infinity is more slalom oriented for 08 and the Freeride covers the b&j/maneouvre side of things, whereas the 07 Infinity covered both depending on the can configuration you used.
Seeing as I can get an 07 Infinity (7.0m) for almost $200 less than either 08 it sounds like the better way to go, on paper.
Any thoughts?

I'm certainly no expert having only used Ezzy's and KA's but the freeride is a nice sail to use. I have a 7.5 08 Freeride and two Wave sails 07 & 08 models. The freeride is by fare my most used sail and in many repects my favourite mostly due to it's large wind range and nice and stable feel, even when over powered. I've yet to try an Infinity but am looking at a 6.5 as my next sail.

Hi Arlo
For what its worth I have been using an ezzy infinity for a couple of years now
Its a 6m and is the best I've used in the larger sizes ( mind you I don't get to try all the other brands) It has a hell of a wind range - Ive used it mainly on a 95 litre bump & jump style board from 12 - 25 kts
The other thing is, when you want to play in lighter - wind waves or just for fun and ease of gybing you can take the cambers out and the sail functions just as well as an all-rounder.
I'm on the sunshine coast now and have not had the cambers in for months
Cheers

G'day Wolfgang,
Welcome aboard. Are you going to tell us all about your eccentric fins? or have I got the wrong Wolfgang?
Re the Ezzy Infinity. I have an old 7.2 Infinity. He doesn't make that size anymore.
I found that it is NOT a nice sail with the cams removed. However it is very nice with just one cam, the bottom one. It has nice soft rotation and good stability.

I have an '07 No-Cam Freeride, 7.0. This is a fantastic sail, with a huge wind range. I'm planing like a mad b@$t@rd when people on 7.5 (other brands) and bigger boards can't get going. And I'm still using it when other sailors are down to 5-6m sails.
Get one or two or three!! As one of the bigger sails in your quiver, it rules. Not sure about smaller sizes in the Freeride, though.
