What are the advantages of FWS? Is it lighter, stronger, tougher, stiffer ????

Is it worth getting?

Thanks,
Harrow.

I second that!
Perhaps a guessing game is in order, how about
Fiberglass Without Salt.
or maybe
Full Wood System?

Definately. Expoxy sandwich boards (particularly larger ones) go soft between the front and the back staps.

So are you saying wood is a better stiffener than carbon??????
I thought wood gave good sharp impact resistance, not so much bigger loads over a larger area. For that you need a stiffer sandwich, spreads the load over a bigger area.
Unless they're using timber instead of high density foam in the sandwich. That might stiffen it up, but I wonder about strength to weight ratio??

JP market their carbon boards as the top end, then wood, then epoxy

thx elmo for FWS explanation

a board soft (delaminated) after 5 months!!!
this is just unacceptable you should just send it back straight to your local shop or JP.
I don't think this (going soft after 5 months!) has anything to do whether it is epoxy or carbon it is more a problem resulting from the way they built the board.
