little trick: check these three different forecasts
seabreeze (BOMS)
www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/wa_forecast.asp
oceanoutlook:
www.oceanoutlook.com.au/westcoast/forecast_pages/perth_forecast.htm
Buoyweather:
buoy.ocens.net/wxnav.jsp?region=AW&program=nww3BW1&grb=nww3&latitude=-32.0&longitude=115.0&zone=8&units=e

3 forecast to be windy = Jackpot..pack your stuff
2 forecast to be windy = take a chance..but may need to check how the forecast evolves
1 only forecast to be windy= Warning!!Carefull!! Danger!...bring a ball, few beers or your wife and kids to eventually go for a walk
0 forecast wind = complain big time!!!

it works!!!!

Sometimes Buoyweather pops up a totally (weird) incorrect forecast page (which has caught me out a coupla times! )
I always open it, check out what they say - trying not to get too excited, then close and open again.
If it is the same - cool! If not, try again...
Once the right page is up, I find the Bunbury forcasts to be fairly reliable...

How's the season shaping up in WA so far, are the summer weather patterns happening. I'm coming over at the end of December for a couple of weeks sailing so I'm really hoping for a good run. Unfortunately the winds on the east coast have been really average so far, particularly out of work hours, bummer.

Not really Des, though it is trying really hard to get started. It should be in full swing by the time you arrive!!!
