Yep same here, but it was just priceless.

Although when I got home I got a rev or two regarding the big ol dead thing just north of the spot I went, and the vulture types feeding on it
Wondered why I was the only with a couple of tea baggers

Actually it was more than a rev, but I didn’t here about it til I got home. Glad I didn’t, sh1t scared wouldna gone near the water

Only thing is by the time you get home, have a beer, have a shower, eat dinner, its time for bed otherwise you're nacked the next day and you can't do it all over again.

Can't wait for this arvo!!!

You lucky truckies,

I had Dad duties yesterday and got to watch (It must of been nuclear up North)

But I'm outta here at 4 today and should have the time and conditions to give my body and equipment the punishment it deserves.

Happy Days

I've never got to the beach at 6.30pm after work and sailed before here in perth, yesterday was my first time ever, long live daylight savings, even if I have to replace my curtains a bit more regularly?

Do they really fade if you get one hour daylight extra in the evening I suppose curtain manufacturers have lobbied for daylight savings, there probably gonna make a mint?

Of course they ARE going to fade! There is now an EXTRA hour of daylight, 25 hours per day! I have chosen to spend the time wisely - AT WORK! I encourgae all my collegues to do likewise, good for the economy Oh, and don't expect extra pay for that extra hour of daylight you are now working

You poor sand gropers have been dictated to by dogmatic pollies, they conned you with that 3yr trial no vote just bend over.
You can't see over your own back fence luckily for us on the east coast we have a state boarder half way down the coast and yes I'm in the best half

Greg, I've noticed you keep saying you hate summer time, the question is why?

In the opinion pages of the paper someone wrote in that it means you have to wait until it is "really late" before you can go to the drive in - they were dead serious!

Hmmm,
After discovering my shinbone was stronger than my board nose on Tuesday arvo I got to thinking.

Time is relative ! Right ?, so the only people who are affected by daylight saving are the slaves to the clock, like me.

So for Farmers and others it shouldn't make a bit of difference (You're still working from Sun up till Sun down).

I suppose that for the pensioners it means that all their favourite TV shows are on an hour later which might be past their bed time.

So harden up and dry up cause I love daylight saving 'cause it gives me more time to hurt myself.

Nurse !, more medication thank you .....

Well I'm on holidays anyway, but it does make a difference. Went out Monday and Tuesday on beloved Lucky Bay and my mate came down after work. We had a blast, even though it was severly gusty. I haven't seen so many large splashes in a long while, including several of my own contributions.

More downhaul....

Count me in too! 4:30am might be a fine time to be awake if you're a native animal. I'd rather be sailing of an afternoon though. Bring some meat and have a BBQ at the beach while your gear dries off. Saves washing up at home!

TelecomGreg,

Come down and live on the border for a month, and you'll soon change your tune... heaps of people on both sides of the border, and incredible amounts of confusion due to the time difference. For example, my CDMA phone is usually an hour behind, because the qld tower is the one that it can see, but occasionally it will see the NSW tower, and this is sitting on the same place on my windowsill. It usually catches people out a couple of times, the old phrase "Missed you by an hour" is especially relevant when daylight savings first comes in.

I'm self employed, so really don't give a toss whether we have daylight savings or not, but I just want everyone to talk the same language so it's not so confusing! Is that too much to ask?
