Is there a way to fix a stripped thread in one of those little bits in a tuttle box fin? Can you just pop them out the side and replace them?

yes.. just push them out. Any good engineer's fastening supply place will be able to hook you up with a replacement.

They're called 'cross dowels', if you take your old one in that'll probably help them to figure out what you're on about.

Depending on how stripped it is, you might be able to just push it back in upside down and if necessary find someone with a set of metal thread taps to clean up the burrs for you.

Yep, and most windsurfing shops should have spares as well. Unfortunately, they are not a standard size between brands but there are only a few main sizings. They also come in Metric and Imperial threads (6mm or 1/4") although the latter are fading out now.

Thanks for the info. Are they made from brass?
