Anyone got any ideas as to what the wind's going to be doing in Adelaide tomorrow? Confidant in the current forcast? Thinking about getting the Red Eye tonight...

I'm heading off to Boggy Lake tomorrow. Anyone else heading there?
Forcast doesn't look to bad and it's always windier there than it is in Adelaide.

Had a great sail today. Best and fastest i ever have. Almost pulled off a couple gybes and did a few waterstarts too. Not much longer until i'll have it all under control . Got a three week break from school over easter and spending a week at Goolwa and many day trips to Boggy Lake. Hopefully i'll improvbe heaps over this time.

Only down side to the day was dads board getting smashed once again. We shall have a go at repairing this again soon. Hopefully before the holidays.

Hi Bubs, We ended up sailing at Goolwa on Sunday, as it was a little more user friendly for us with youngun!(ie we had babysitters) We had good wind for most of the day, got a good two hours in between 3-5pm, then it dropped out.

Sailed at Kent reserve in Victa this afternoon, Kym went ok, I struggled with the chop and my rig wasnt tuned as I like. But was fun in the swell.

Question: What board does your dad have? Is it a JP 120 ltr freeride? This is a board I am interested in for my next alrounder. Not keen if it keeps falling apart.

Hi Susie, we missed u today!

Nah its a JP freeride 158L, 2004. This is very big so perfect for him to come from his old 25yo gear. I think the problem is that he hasn't quite got use to the new gear (developed bad technique on his old stuff) and frequently gets catepulted while in harness and what not. Because the board is quite wide, it's very easy to hit the side where he has three times. I would think a 120L would be much better and less easy to hit. I would also think your skill level is much higher than my dads.

Personally for the money of a JP i would go starboard if i had a choice. Eitha that or Naish. I've herd that JP board are easy to damage but they put a lot of their research into the speed and performance. My brother and i both have Naish boards. I've thrashed mine and havn't had more than a mark from the boom on the rough surface. My brothers board, a Naish Supercross (114L), Is awsome. I love it. Fast and can also have a center strap to wave sailing or heavy chop. Highly recomended.

But yeah personally i would go Starboard Carve or Naish before another JP. JP may perform better (not certain on that) but i think they are not a strong.
