Hi everyone,
Was thinking of going to Lancelin for the weekend since the breeze seems to be kicking in.

Some travelers told me about a free camp-site 10-15min away from town. Does anyone know of it? Are there any other places sleep over in the van?
Cheers!

Hey Rick, ive stayed on the oval at the recreation centre a few times and havent had any problems with the ranger. I did get up early though, around 6:30 and on the weekend people might be there to play sport. There is also a qaurry just before town which you can park in. The ranger seems to check all the carparks around town first thing in the morning (like 6 o'clock!) and comes around knocking on vans windows! I think the deal is you get a warning then a 50 buck fine. I might see you up at lano on sunday if the forecast stays good.

here is an idea...

... go to the pub, get too **** faced too drive, sleep in your car in the car park. The pub owner is happy and if the ranger wants to move you you are probably still too drunk to drive.

... probably doesn't do too much for your liver and sailing hung over isn't much fun either.
