Does anyone know if there's a program that can work out the best VMG (velocity made good) for going upwind or downwind off the data from the GPS?

I know GPSResults can work out the wind direction by the angles sailed so I thought there might be a way that it can be worked out from that. I just don't know if there is a program that has it.

Microsoft excel ^_^

I have no idea of any programs but in all seriousness if you have a GPS plot with speeds/distance and you know what the wind direction was (so you can work out approx angles sailed) you can work out your optimum VMG's in about 2 minutes with Excel. Embrace the cosine
