Friday afternoon forecast 20-30 knot North-West backing West at similar strength in afternoon. The South carpark (first turnoff near Alcoa) will be the most likely venue for windsurfing. Kites will probably be right on the point further along. Say hello if I am there.

Frant,

Sounds good, I'll be the one falling off at every available opportunity.

Cheers.

I won't give out my identifying features on a public forum so you will have to be nice and freindly and say hello to everyone just in case its me. See you there.

Just got home from Geelong, wind was strong Fri midday, too strong for my 6.5 (smallest). Spent (wasted) an hour looking for a 'less-windy' spot so as not to be catapulted every couple of minutes, then thought of 'uncle chop-chop' & decided to head back to Pt Henry.

Got in less than 10mins of 'gusty' wind before it dissapeared completely (and I mean COMPLETELY!.....minus 3 knots, I reckon!)

Frant, I was the idiot 'drifting' around out there by myself asking "please, please, please, please????" If you were the guy that came up and said hello.....thanks, I won't give away your anonymity. It looks like a great spot for speed-sailing, I hope to get there more often.
