What a day! I was on my 4.1 by about 12:30 and by 3pm I was getting blown off the water; it's not often you wish you had a 3.5m! Some awesome waves early-mid afternoon but they started to drop off a bit later. There sure were a lot of people there, was crazy.

It was a bit crowded yesterday though with some dodging of rigs when bottom turning.

Leski, if he was any sort of a mate, he'd have had the courtesy to drive to Gerroa and watch you sail all day.

Waves at Gerroa were pretty awesome. pretty punchy late in the day.
Went arse over tit more often than not. Downhauled the arse out of my 4.2 and was still overpowered.

Hope it is going to be a late season.

Whyner, can it actually get crowded, a 7 miles beach?
or is it just because you are used to be on your own with maybe few seagulls flappin around?

did anyone go to Wanda? (how was it with the NSW SurlifeSaving taking most of the beach?)

not a chance it was mast high wen its mast high its consistent 6ft not the rogue 1 that comes thru a day, theres no way it would have been consistently mast high. nobbies was definetly the place to be yesterday i think many will agree, its so much like ho'okipa with all the chop the bigger sets were awesome on some occasions getting 5 smacks on the 1 wave which is very rare at nobbys, its a shame its only like that with a south swell. i dunno if any1 else saw peto go over the falls on top of his gear but the face he pulled was kind of like the 1 where sumthing big has just been shoved up there a$$, on his next run out i was right behind him and noticed wat looked like a very long jaggered peice of reef hanging out of his wettie. maybe thats y he left so early an no1 saw him in the car park??? i think he was in a rush to get to hospital????

I saw this Comrade Peto go over the handle bars while bottom turning on big wave.
His face very funny, eyes as big as saucers as his gear got sucked over the falls with him still lying on top of the sail... was a wicked slash that he unhinged to get into that position to start with though

The little fotzen was pulling off some MASSIVE end over forwards and there was quite a crew smacking up some seriously beltable lips on the wave rides

Great day, great location... I not miss Long Reef at all
