I have had loads of trouble with my go pro hero2 fogging I was about to give up when a mate Justin Reeders said try some o ring lube on the white seal & it worked I think the seal keeps our the water but maybe its able to draw humidity in which causes it to fog so if your having trouble try it & let me know if it works for you.

A swimming pool shop should have it. Also hardware shops that sell tap washers will have it.

Got mine at the pool shop.
Might add you only need a fine smear.

the unwritten laws of go-pro

1. if it's fogging up, you're using it too much

2. once battery is flat, you throw the go-pro away

Go pro sell anti fog inserts. They work well I heard.
A friend had a good run just using the silica gel from a vitamin bottle.
The fogging is caused by the camera getting warm and temp difference with the case and surrounds. So I'm not sure how the o ring grease is going to help with fogging. It would help with prolong the seal so it can stay water tight for longer.

Try this holding it near a reverse cycle air conditioner so that the dry air fills up the water proof case with dry air that has less moisture in it if the air has a high humidity content this will cause condensation in the case which is fog that sh#ts you when you film this works no moisture no fog there is no way it can form ive proved this with trial and error Glynn !

My tips for fog free, Use the anti fog inserts ($5 on eBay for 20) but if you're too tight to buy them just fold up a square of paper towel and put it inside the back door. Seal it up the night before and only open the case if you need to swap batteries, make sure your hands are dry before doing so as the slightest bit of moisture in the case will cause fogging. Once you've changed the battery give the case a blast with the cars air con and then pop in the camera and quickly seal the case. Lastly buy the dive housing and you'll be fog free forever, even if the dive housing does fog it just happens around the outer edge of square glass and doesn't effect the lens unlike the dome of the standard housing.

^this has worked for me

running the go pro for a while so it warms up before sealing the case does help too. maybe plug it into the usb port in your car and turn it on while driving to the water so it's ready to go when u get there

I use extra thin sponge material ( table wipes) cut in squares. Microwave them just before closing the case. Works a treat no more fogging !!

Yer iv tried all the above it does help the aircon, inserts etc but still had some fogging but since using the lube its been a lot better my latest movies have turned out clear as bro.
The only thing I haven't tried is the dive case I have been told that works also.
