what doldrums.
we had 10-15 knots today. nebs you gotta get yourself formula gear and head out into the ocean. king's cliff looks to be perfect when the swells small.
i managed to plane last sat in 7 knots at VP with the 8.5m sail. there is nothin better.
i don't get all the **** formula gear gets? pick yourself up a very cheap 2 year old board and you'll be set. everyday is a sailing day from that point on.

boys get on the program, buy a surfboard for a few hundred! I would go insane if i sat around waiting for the wind. It is such a good balance between windsurfing and surfing, keeps you in the water everyday if you want. So get a secondhand board, carry it in your car, if theres no wind go surfing wherever you are, that is if you are near a beach! simple. Actually Nebbian, im also thinking of getting some snorkelling kit, for the days when it is so small you cant surf either.
surfed this morning for 2 hours from 7am, awesome waves, too tired for the rest of the day to bother about anything else!
Did notice this arvo when I went for a walk to the beach a few kiters were out, some at miami, others up at narrowneck, I was almost thinking of rigging up off mermaid beach and having a quick windsurf session. Welcome to qld winters!
