Tore up all the ligaments in my ankle 3 weeks ago ...... and looks like i'll be off the water for at least that again. The only consolation for me has been the fact that there has been no wind . Can anyone give me few pointers on how to recover from a grade 2 ligs damage to the ankle

Have you been to the physio?
Do you exercises regurally, apply heat/ice in your free time. Dont run on it, try to keep off your feet as much as possible, and dont wear ****ty shoes, aka thongs!

It sucks, cos i have shin splints, which is just tendonitis from windsurfing, when you lift up your feet to point into the wind. Anyway so i am constantly massaging my shins on the train etc, apply ice after hockey training and games... and recently bought some Skins to help with recovery... Im lucky too because of no wind, ill try to be off the water for a month to aid recovery!!!

Just my 2 Cents!
