The harness comes with the bar? If so its pretty cheap for $50. A waist harness will suit you more than a seat harness as you are progressing. How do they measure the differences between the sizes?

It looks like it is a roller bar, the hook is a plastic/rubber uni joint shaped device that has the ability to spin. This means that as you move back and forth the hook moves freely and doesn't wear your harness lines.

They were popular years ago, but aren't super strong. With the harness, seems like a good deal to me. It wont be super comfy, and probably won't last forever either, but if you are after entry level it should do the job.

Oh and yes, foot straps usually run around $20ea. There is a fair bit to them when you think about it, and compared to some other things you might spend $20 on, they aren't really that expensive.

Billyboy,

I'll send you my old harness this week, along with the harness lines I promised you...sorry I got lazy while I was on holidays and didn't leave the couch. It's a 2 years old dakine t4 waist harness It's missing one of the side power belts but still works fine, I've been still using it until I got my new one a few weeks back and if you know anyone handy with a needle and thread they will be able to mend it for you.

Cheers jase.
