Hi everyone
I am relatively new to this fantastic sport and lovin every minute of it, however, i had my first full on high speed wipe out today and bent my boom. Upon trying to bend it back(gently) it snapped. The boom is a Mistral aluminium with quick release mast clamp which is removable by pushing a couple of pins and sliding off.
So what i really want to know is has anyone got or know if i can buy just the basic body of the boom as both ends are in perfect order or do i have to get a whole new boom.
Oh Yeah, does any one know a good sail repairer, i went through my sail too.
Pretty good day all round
Cheers
Brett

Hi Brett,
Will be hard to find boom arms that match your ends. Go round all the shops until you strike it lucky. Chances are ,you will pay more for new boom arms ,than another 2nd hand boom, am selling some for around $150. Check out my thread on the buy and sell forum.
In regards to sail repairs, talk to Ian Sampson at Sails and Windsurfing Centre, in O'Conner(phone number in the yellow pages) He does all my repairs for my school and hire sails and is spot on.
Good luck
