Hi Tobi.
I think your sail sizes should have it well covered. Apart from the rare 35 knot day, like yesterday (Monday) and predicted for today, we usually get onshore to cross onshore 15-20 knot sea breezes over the next few months, usually with 1 metre waves. My biggest and most commonly used sail is a 5.4 (I'm 70 kilos), but I get to use my favourite 4.7 maybe once a month. Rarely get to use a 4.2, and have never used my 3.7, (but would have if I could have escaped from work yesterday). I usually sail anywhere from St Kilda to Brighton. Bayswater is probably 45 minutes from the bay, so I hope you're arranging a car. Edithvale or Aspendale are probably the closest launch. Use the wind readings from Fawkner Beacon as the most accurate for the north east part of the bay, which is where you are most likely to sail. And if you do get transport, you've got to have a sail at Sandy Point, which is about 2 1/2 hours east of Melbourne. Currently the slowest

sailor there is a guy named Chris Lockwood, who can only achieve 46 knots. Cheers
