I am looking at staying at Drummond Cove and was wondering how far Coros is from there and does anyone have a map link as I could not find it on whereis.
Is it also possible to sail from Drummond Cove.
Cheers

Drummond Cove is about 18 km from Corro, yes you can sail from Drummond Cove, just a bit light on the inside, but once you get past the reefs it's perfect. This is Drummonds itself, not the Drummonds C caravan park which is about 1 km from the beach and a very long walk.

South side of Drummonds bay has waves, the reef is patchy and it's easy to find yourself on the hard if you are out of place, other wise plenty of open sailing in the bay its self.
If you have company, sailing from Drummonds to Coronation is a good run and recommended, especially with 3 metres of swell, you get to sample the jewels known and unknown.

If you want to sail from your backdoor, sunset caravan park is great, better down the line than corro, and sometimes has better wind, but doesn't get the swell quite as well.
Also a bit cheaper than Drumonds I think, (at least the onsite vans were last time we checked). It's a bit further from Corro thou, about another 7km to 10Km

Thanks guys,
it looks like 4 of us will be staying at Surf place, Drummond Cove early to mid Jan so thanks for the input.
I looked at Sunset holiday park but they didn't have much available for 4 guys besides a triple bunk that does not appeal much for 2 weeks.
At this late stage most accommodation is fairly picked over but the fibro shack at Drummond Cove should do us fine and we will have a van so we can head where ever to get the wind and waves.
