How to attach gopro max to backmount?

I just got the backymount from f4 to use with my go pro max. How are you guys attaching the camera? Do you just use a nut and washer?

GoPro has two length bolds. A long and a short. I use the short version with the nut that came with it. That way it won't show in the shot. I also tape the string around the housing as that's the only way to tether in case the mounting feet snap off.

I'll take a photo of the setup tomorrow and post.

not the same mount but similar...use short gopro screw

This is what I went with



Worked pretty good until I crashed and the camera tilted, you can see the stick a bit in the second image. But hard to notice when the camera has tilted or fix alignment while on the water. Any suggestions

Need to tighten the screw with a screwdriver. Maybe use inner tube to help reduce friction.
