The board's for sale on Gumtree, Bass Coast, Victoria. Looks like a great board should anyone be interested.
Fully aware that the board could have taken 5yrs in a store b4 it sold. Then a buyer, unaware of it's true age buys it as a new board which it is but really isn't.
Hence why it's so awkward with those weird complicated type "VIN" numbers similar to cars (which are relatively easy to read) aren't easy to read as on Brand name Board.
The serial number would identify the DOM(including month) how many were produced & from which factory they came from. Most (nearly all) are made o/s at the Thailand plant others in Vietnam.

LMCT need to apply age of a car, which is a vehicle, a boat as a vessel needs same, any water craft these days has identifiable numbers tracing back origins.
