Hi all,

I am happy to announce the dates of the Hutt City Windsurf Cup which will be in Eastbourne, New Zealand. Wellington is in the top 5 windiest cities in the world with over 75% of days with winds over 15knots making for a great event with phenomenal conditions.

Date: March 24-26th
Location: Bishop park, Eastbourne

I am working at having cheap event accommodation for riders and all competitors will have free gear storage for the duration of the event onsite thanks to Royal Wolf and KAM Transport.

The event will be apart of the Pacific Cup which is a series of events in the pacific including Australia, Japan, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Japan, Hawaii and New Zealand. I will have more information of the other events soon.

Check out the racing which has been done at the Eastbourne Slalom Plus over the last few years. This will be the same place where the Hutt City Windsurf Cup - New Zealand will be held next year. This will be the first stop of the Pacific Windsurf Cup in March.

All riders have free gear storage onsite alongside free lunches and evening functions. Stay tuned for the party information being confirmed at the moment.

The course on the video looks like a Fig.8 course(?)
Will the Pacific Cup be the same or a more conventional downwind M Course?

The course for Hutt City Cup will be downwind slalom.

I am trying to confirm 'PRIZE MONEY' for a teams result (additional to the $2000 for the current prize money) also where each team can have between 3-5 sailors (and the top 3 sailor results count).

If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.

I am happy to announce that all competitors leaving from Auckland will have access to free gear transportation to the event site thanks to Kiwi Rail.

Gear needs to be in the container on the 20th March and will arrive onsite on the 22nd March.

I am working hard on organising an accommodation deal for competitors where it is looking like if you are a competitor/volunteer you will receive 15% off RRP (approximately $20NZD/night)
