i have an old wave board that is by hybrid designs, apparently shaped my jon hall, (or is it john hall) annnnnwway. the board is cool and i have only ever seen one other hybrid board.. does anyone know what the deal is when them.. like web site.. or if there still around.. ??

John Hall is probably still shaping in NSW. He used to shape for Steve Allen, Mark Pedersen and some Japanese Manufacturers in the old days. His boards were strong and performed well, especially his race boards which were damn fast. I used to own a race board that I bought off a freind who also had a wave board. He couldn't break it and he was a killer on gear. This particular wave board wasn't that good for turning as the tail was too thick but was great for blasting big jumps.

yeah i have a hybrid and straight lining it is a demon. it is about 110L which is a bit big for me though it can also hold an 8.5 comftorbly in about 20kn. it is strong as hell and their are several of them for sail on the east coast.
