Hey there

Have a 133 Hyper and use it with 7.8.

I realise you got pump hard to pop it on to the plan but whats the deal with its obsesion with turning up wind! Anyone over come this , I there a knack to getting it to behave itself ? Any advise would be much appreciated

Unfortunately they are a board that made things harder than they needed to be, especially when you compare them to their successfull Isonic replacement

Funny from someone that dosen't ride slalom gear. Although noticeable when you first ride them, eventually it all becomes natural and you dont notice their tendancy to go upwind. You can tune them to not have be so much like that- mast track forward or boom lower if I remember correctly.

Cheers

I bought the board as a light wind alternate, The nose diving is a bit funny as well when your slogging. Do you have to be very assertive with Slalom kit? I find I have to pay a grat deal of attention to trim foot presure - postion etc. I my carve99 I seem to be going along for the ride and the board takes care of itself.

Anyone have a prefered sail size the Hyper ??

Yes be very aggressive with hypers- especially gybing the more aggressive you are the better you will do. Nose diving whilst schlogging you standing too far forward- on 133 you should be back foot between straps, and front half way between straps & mastfoot at furtherest. To get it planing move back as far as possible without sinking. I've found hypers dont have alot of footpressure except back foot when using big fin. Trim them flat, don't rail up on leeward edge and stay committed.

I have a 111, check the starboard archives for sail size. I use down to 5.5 comfortably (deepish draft 5.5 though) and up to 9m, 133 ideal would be 7-10m.
