... and it's only the few that give a bad rep to the rest, I know.

I finally got my a mast separated that has been stuck for 2 weeks. Hurrah!

A bunch of kiters helped me, took four of us and about 20 seconds.
BUT, the first guy/kiter/bitch I asked flat out refused, said "good luck with that" and then walked away. I mean we're not changing a flat tyre here or anything, just hold the end for me... even still how could you not help someone change a flat tyre, especially if you're doing nothing anyway?

So thanks to the 3 that helped like normal human beings, "**** you" to the knob.

I feel better now.
(Yes SEQLDers, I sailed in 10 knots today, planed a bit. Desperate)

LOL Justin... Least you got out!

But Panda, I'm with you. I don't see why ppl don't help each other out more often. It pisses me off HUGELY! Glad some kiters helped you in the end! =]

My 60 yo Mother fell out the front of a strip of shops, and people just kept walking. The guy from the tattoo shop was the one to come out and help her; suspected neck-spinal injuries and had a broken shoulder (humorus)...Months later, yes she has recovered, but overall health worsened.

So PEOPLE, learn some decency! Same as Panda said, most are great, just the minority seem to ruin it for the majority!

Well I don't know Dr Evil. If a shifty looking character like your sweet self asked me to pull their mast I might just say "good luck to you" too.

Oh Justin, by no means did I mean you didn't try to help the kiter. I was meaning that kiter not wanting to help Panda!
I would've rather seen him walking around with a nappy strapped to his leg! [}:)]

Personally, I find we help kiters all the time when we avoid those long lines on the ground that take all the rigging room, and in the water when we contort our natural sailing habits to get out of the way of the lines dragging in the H2O.

But people are people and I have seen windsurfing guys not helping fellow peers as well (a few times in 20 years), i.e. lend a tool, give a bit of rope, help lifting gear, move the car to help make room.

Read the rest of your answers, but this was priceless LMAO
Bit stunned that a fellow water sportsperson didn't want to help EP to separate a mast.

Panda, glad my bro and I could help..........I cant see why there is tension between kiters and WS's, there is no need to be, we all chase the same thing. The general consensus is everybody helps anyway but we eventually get the odd person that doesn't want to lend a hand right!!

Lol i thought the wind may have been a little better that day, good to get wet though hey.......

Thanks man.

Hope that guy asks me to help him launch one day. In the meantime I'm hoping he just misunderstood how easy it was actually going to be.
