Brawzinho has the best style, pure and unrefined. I've found copying him is the best way to learn cause you can tell exactly what he is doing. The other guys are too subtle in their actions, they give away no hints..
That backside backie was siiiickkk!!! Reminds me of watching cisco when he was younger. Agree with matt about the standard of sailing over the last couple of years, I would be happy watching those guys sail all day.
funny thing is - i hear lots of people here in WA complain when its onshore
but i reckon those are some of the most fun conditions you can score
Corros is super fun no matter what level you are at - yet many crew go straight past it to the NW desert - when they probably should be spending more time learning how to bottom turn and jump. But each to their own...
Mr severne was explaining to me recently that while Pozo looks very onshore the angle of the wave makes it a lot more cross shore - relative to how you bottom turn , jump and hit the lip - than it looks. Bit like the sw switch after a nw swell here in WA
Ben sent me some footage earlier this week - he's got his backside 3s sorted ! Cheeky bugger. Sounds like the WA crew like Jigger STone, Glen Alexander , Ben , Simon Hurrey, James Hooper (Nude board guru) are all going to be flying the aussie flag there and bringing back a big bag of tricks
