Man, what a day...I broke my ONE AND ONLY mast this arvo, trying to launch through the shorebreak at Broadbeach. In sub-planing conditions, just hoping for a bit of practice. Duhh.

Is there anybody in QLD or far north NSW, especially around the Gold Coast, willing to sell me a 460cm mast? New or used, I'll consider anything. Please give me a call or send an SMS to 0416 471 572. Thanks a lot.

BTW, to give credit where it's due: my 2007 Ezzy sail suffered little more than a scratch, despite having a mast broken in it and being given a good thrashing by the next couple of waves. That's quality workmanship, folks!

It's a North Sails Space Tech 40. I actually do have a spare bottom half, but it's in another country.

I think the problem is going to sort itself out pretty soon, though...
