Hi all ,the only bit of kit I’ve not updated for a while (about 15years) is my ezzy mast 370 & 400 and got my thinking would they make any noticeable difference with my newer ezzy sales I’ve upgraded every few years . Does an older carbon mast not bend or react like a new one?
just to add my mast are never left rigged or out in the sun.
Thanks

They lose a little bit of response but nothing to worry about for rec windsurfing 😁 !

I doubt you would notice much if any difference, therefore I would suggest putting the funds towards something noticeably better such as a new board, sail or a slim grip carbon boom if you don't yet have one.
My ezzy masts are the same age and still going strong...

I've had my masts since 1996, that makes them 30 years old, and they've had hard use, many catapults, broken helmets, smashed booms, ripped harnesses even had them jammed into the reef, with board and sail dangling getting hit by waves. They still rig my speed sails beautifully. Admittedly they are extremely good masts, but I suspect Ezzys are also good masts.

I've worked on the principle if it ain't broke and the sail rigs well on it, then don't replace it.

... and never try anyone else's gear in case it feels better 😂
