Howdy!!!!
I'm getting the Seven Year Itch with work (a job which has fairly flexible hours but has it's busy season from December to April).
Has anyone worked a job with hours that suits windsurfing. Either a job in the building industry where it is too dangerous to work after 20knots or a job where the busy season is anywhere from May to September???

try a Jims mowing franchise, and work whenever you feel like it.

Rain drop collector.
Work duties:
- sit under the rain (during rain event) with a bucket in your hand
- measure the amount of water in the bucket
- report to BOM supervisor

I'm in the building industry brick paving i try to finish at 2.30pm in the summer and work around the weather in winter.

I very rarely miss out on any good days

Basically if your self employed you can almost work the hours you want
I'm going to work Saturday and Monday this week so i can go sailing Wed & Thurs (hopefully)

I'm sure Bluejuice can give you some advice

Get some cream for that itch it sounds quite nasty, seven years i would have gone to the doctors after a week

Good luck with finding the new career

just look at your job as disposeable then when it gets windy just do go in or leave work early or what ever and if they say something about it just stay calm and say sorry. and then do it again.. if the fire you, just get the dole and get a different job.

Take any job that pays enough to fund your habit then LIE TILL U DIE !

keep a list of reusable execuses that your boss will not challenge;if that fails tell him the truth and he either likes it or lumps it - no job is worth quality wind time.

Im a full time apprentice and some how got hooked up with the sickest boss in the world. ive fully sussed it out.

1. tell him your some bull **** sick sailor and have to train as soon as it gets windy or you dont get to make millions later on in life and and let him stay at all your house all around the world.

2. your an aprentice so you dont do **** all anyway so it doesnt matter if you left they probably would get more done with you messing stuff up all the time and not doing your job properly.

3. by your boss a 6pack of crownies for his birthday every year and he'll like ya so much wont even need an excuse to leave.

theres 3 simple methods to having a sail evryday that its windy, its worked for me for just over a year now, and it hopefully he doesnt read this so it will stay like this.

winter sux so much asssss!!!!

i'm so envious of those i call nerds. but don't do engineering or med or you have no time and turn into one of those nerds

look this is what you got to do..
1st::::: get your kit together with some spares
2nd;;';'';' move to your favourite spot to windsurf, chances are it is in a small town area where rent is cheap. it is important at this step to set up you life cheaply .. very cheap.. like the budgie
3rd;;'';;l;/.//., quit your job get the dole
4th///.l; relax, try not to stress, wind surf everyday, hand a form in once a fortnight, and look up some jobs on the neat to write down.. oh and tell people you are goverment sponsored windsurfer.. and that you work on your tan
