77 KINETIC / DELTA EUPHORIA

Picked up the new 77 litre kinetic Euphoria board a couple of weeks ago and have been putting it through its pacers. This thing rocks!!!!
It came with six fins! and a heap of footstrap positions that will suit anyone.

Marty has done a great job and proved again he's one of the best shapers in the world. This thing is fast, turns on a dime and is so extremely short it fits into the tightest pockets without nose diving the thing on the exit. The V in the rocker makes an enjoyable ride rather than the Jarring some of the other brands seem to do. The "thruster" setup is good but the "widow maker" setup is the best (larger centre, smaller side fins) It planes early and is suprisingly really fast for a tri fin!
Ive been moving the centre fin around a bit to see what the difference is. Ive been blown away by how loose you can make the board. With the side fins right back and the centre fully forward it feels like a skate board on ice!! The best setup is pretty much the middle of every thing. You can power the bottom turns without worrying about spinning out, the width in the tail keeps an unbeleivable amount of speed going through to the top when the thrusters and v in the rocker grip the lip and give a positive feel to steering, so you dont miss that aerial or lip screaming to be smacked!

The board points an extra 10 degrees upwind more than most, but does not have that stiff tail feeling that the old trusters used to have. It feels like a single fin. Like wise on the wave or off the lip. The "Widow maker" setup does not give that bighting or catching the rail that the old thrusters used to. It releases rather than flips the board.

Its taken some time to get used to the "centre of boyancy being behind the mast track. with most boards its in front or on the track. It threw me for a while, especially when its really light and your dogging it home, most boards your front foot just at the base of the track or in front. The euphoria its a good 1/2 foot back down the board. Its good. once you get used to it you dont want to go back.

Ive had a lot of boards in the past (JP 84, Acids 70, Acid 74, Fish 85, evo 80) this board is so completely different, its by far my favorite board todate.

Im now trying to persuade my wife to get a 70 litre.

Keen to hear from anyone else who has got one and see what you think!

I was keen to try one of these boards but their availability turned me off. If you don't mind me asking where did you get it, how long did you have to wait after ordering and how much was it?

Got it from Robbie Radis (marketing/sailor) and Jeremy (graphic designer for them) they have a demo board you could borrow and test. Just call up Marty.
the wait for it to arrive was about 2weeks! for the second shipment.

My 77 arrived here in Vic last week; direct from Marty, no delivery costs etc.
Just waiting for wind when not @ work!!
Chose it after looking at the alternatives / riding the JP RWW / reputations / bit of a gamble (not being able to see one here in Vic).
Board looks killer, light weight, quality straps etc; just had to adjust some of the fins slightly.
Marty was great / easy to deal with; eager to help. Promised "money back" if not rapt!!
Pray for wind this Sat!!

"Spot 1" I figure the weight is slightly heavier than my evo. But its got three fins which probably make xtra 100grms?? and hopefully a bit stronger. My last Acid snapped 13months!! ( 1month out of warranty!) so would gladly have some xtra strength.

"ch" the fins were a bit of a bugger to set but no big deal. Just drilled a new hole about 3-4mm further down for the pivot pin!
Hope the wind blows this week end for you.
