Try emailing RPS or SHQ for gear hire. RPS have a good range of second hand gear for sale that they might hire out, or some demo stuff.
If you can get to Sandy Pt when it's blowing and when the tide allows, you should have an absolute hoot. Something that will really piss off you mates. But it's about 5hr return trip and a real bummer if it's not working. Unless Windguru or the Bureau of Meterology website
