Has anyone sailed Lake George, SA, lately? I've been told it's a good spot for flatwater speed, although the green algie bit puts me off a bit, (I spend as much time in the water as on it!!)
The aerial view from google earth looks downright nasty.. (not sure when pics were taken.)

Hi Scott,
It has been pretty nasty, a real fluro green colour. If you drink heaps of grog overnight it seems to help fight of the blue green. Or maybe so are just so seedy you dont notice it. The weed has died off so it also become quite choppy. I heard that they have reopened the mouth to let some flushing occur but it may take a while for it to heal. We will probably head down there to check it out next month as we normally hold a speed event there on the long weekend.
There has been some good numbers posted a Boggy Lake lately by Chris D and Carl so the need to get to Beachport isnt as strong.
Cheers,
Chris
