Hi, I'm a beginner windsurfer from the lakes district in the US, just wondering what sort of board you could recommend....
Nah, just kidding. I am a beginner/intermediate living on the Gold Coast and I'm wondering if anyone ever sails in any of the numerous lakes on offer? They look so inviting, no chop, no giant cruisers with myopic captains to run you down (I windsurf off Hollywell), no 6 knot tides and probably shallow enough to stand up in. I feel I could be landing my gybes in a day or so if I could only find a really good, beginner-friendly lake.
Does anyone know of any that don't have sharks patrolling them? I suppose water quality would be an issue too.
