2. Organisers - Lancelin Chamber of Commerce.
3. Average conditions - Winds 15-22 knots each afternoon, occasional afternoon with 25+ knots. Flat protected water for slalom, open choppy ocean waters with a small to moderate swell for marathon.
4. Marathon - All divisions shall start together from a Beach Start. Elite have priority front row starting position. Elite & Am shall be awarded line positions in order of receipt of entry. Elite has front row priority positions.
Slalom - Boat start shall be used where possible.
Wave - Ams and Elite shall compete separately.
Weight Vests and Harnesses – Competitors shall not wear weighted garments or items during a marathon. Neutral buoyancy weight jackets may be worn during slalom only.
Min wind strengths - Marathon 12 kts, Slalom 11 kts
5. Advertising vests and sail logos - All competitors shall wear advertising vests and to place sail logos on their sails where supplied.
6. Sail numbers – All competitors shall have legible sail numbers. Numbers shall be on both sides of the sail, starboard high, horizontal, in a dark contrasting colour. Competitors shall ensure that sail numbers are easy legible and understandable from a distance. N.B. It is not the official’s responsibility to interpret sail numbers.
7. Safety - During marathons all competitors shall be required to wear an ASA 1499,2350 or ASA Type 1 or 2. Internationally stamped equivalents may be accepted at the discretion of the officer of the day. All competitors shall carry, securely attached to their buoyancy vests; two orange or red smoke flares. If out of date flares are in very good condition they may be accepted at the discretion of the officer of the day. Competitors without proper safety equipment will not be allowed to compete.

8. Prizes & Prize money - Cash and prize pool maybe reduced without notice depending on entry numbers.
Marathon - Elite – total cash pool$3,000.
If Elite entries are less than 13, cash pool will be reduced by $1,000.
Ams - prizes only value $3,000 total
Slalom - Elite - $1,000.
Ams - prizes only value $1,000 total
Waves - Elite- $2,000, prize pool will be reduced by $1000 if the elite entries are less than 30
Ams - prizes only. Value $1,000 total
9. Entry limits - No limit shall be placed on entries.
10. Close of entries - Entries close last mail Wednesday 10/1/2007
11. Late entries - Accepted at the discretion of the organisers. Organisers may charge an additional late entry fee $15. Entries after the first briefing shall not be accepted.
12. Payment - Cheques made payable to Lancelin Ocean Classic, Po Box 200 Lancelin WA 6044. There shall be no refunds after 11/1/2007.
13. Sailing Instructions - Sailing Instructions shall be posted on the Regatta Notice Board.
14. Presentations - At the Endeavour Tavern. Presentations for waves and marathon events Saturday night around 8.00 pm, if all goes according to plan, slalom Sunday around 7.30, earlier if sailing is completed in time. Bands and heaps of activities. If prizewinners are not at presentation their prize may be awarded to next placed competitor.

• Entries close 10/1/2007; a late fee of $15 may be applied on all entries after this date.
Late entry fees are imposed to get you guys to get your entries in early to make life just slightly easier for organisers before the event. It is a massive extra workload for helpers to input all of the new information on the day
• there will be an insurance charge for non-WWA members of $20. Proof of Membership must be sited.
• Elite have priority front row starting positions for Marathon.
• Positions awarded in receipt of entries. Marathon starting positions awarded in order of receipt of entries for amateur.
• Please make sure you have thoroughly and carefully read the terms of this form making sure you understand them clearly before signing and posting this entry form and declaration.
Due to an almost potential disaster in a previous year, caused by one of the competitors not informing officials of his retirement from the event. We now require that all competitors entering the marathon list all of the above information on the entry form.

Note: Entries shall not be accepted unless this declaration is signed.
All entrants must complete this declaration.

In consideration of, and as condition of acceptance of my entry as a competitor in the Lancelin Ocean Classic, whose signature appears hereunder, agree and declare as follows:
I. That my medical condition is satisfactory for the purpose of participating in the Lancelin Ocean Classic and any activity associated therewith and I am aware that the Lancelin Ocean Classic comprises arduous events in which only persons in good physical condition with suitable experience should participate.
2. That I will abide by the rules and conditions of the Lancelin Ocean Classic as stated in this declaration and in any literature or instructions connected with this event.
3. That I for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators HEREBY WAIVE, all and any claim, right or cause of action which I or my heirs, executors or administrators might otherwise have for or arising out of my life or injury, damage or loss of any description whatsoever and however caused (including inter alia negligence of any person, corporation or body referred to in paragraph 4 below) which I may suffer in the course of or consequent upon or incidental to my entry or participation in the Lancelin Ocean Classic.
4. The above waiver, release and discharge shall be and operate in favour of all persons, corporation and bodies involved or otherwise engaged in the promoting or staging of the Lancelin Ocean Classic and the (ie) servants, agents, representatives, officers and any of them includes, but (is) not limited to Event Organisers, Lancelin Chamber of Commerce, their employees, (agents) volunteers and marshals.
5. That I consent to the publication of or use in any form of media whatsoever of my name, photograph, image, statements or otherwise in any context pertaining to the Lancelin Ocean Classic or otherwise before during or after the Lancelin Ocean Classic whether for advertisement, promotion or otherwise.
