Hi
I was just after some advice on learning to windsurf. I have been out once with a friend and am keen to learn. I dont want to be a pain in the butt to the fore-mentioned friend and figured I would be better of getting a few lessons.
Any suggestions on where? I live in Sydney and am willing to travel up/down coast.
I have done a search on the internet and come up with a few places that run lessons, but there isn't that much info available and I am pretty clueless. Also, there seems to be some pretty big price differences.
Also, does anyone know if I am going to have to wait until it warms up or will I be able to find some lessons running during August?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
M

I've had lessons at balmoral, basically because that's the only place I could find :P

I had the beginner lessons then went back again to get my tacks and jibes better. I find them pretty good although sometimes the wind is quiet akward and you have to go for alittle ride around the bay (harbour, whatever you call it) to get a decent run.

They also adapted the course to suit what I wanted to focus on which was good.

Give Long reef. or another sailboard retailler a call. I am sure they will know. Also check out www.nswwavesailing.org for try windsurf days. Apart from that? Goodluck.

C'mon Haircut. Tell the truth, you just want me to pick it up so you can have a go. I unwrapped it yesterday. It really looks like a good time. Can't wait till payday.
