just a suggestion, incase u haven't tried (i'm becoming an expert at el-cheapo hacks

) - with the use of microphone in the wind, a low budget way to reduce most of the wind noise if using a seperate mic not attached to cam is to get some coathanger wire and make a cone shape, and pull an old sock over it with a hole in the end, and poke the mike into it. You can point the mic towards the sound source and not have any sound reflections off the inside of the cone. Just make sure the wire doesn't rattle against the mic itself and u keep the mike pointing straight at the speaker, otherwise you get a bit of eq variations. I post a rough pic 4 u
