What a fun dad at Manly on Sunday for the social slalom racing. Had a ball, but can hardly move at work today- so sore from pumping. Interesting to note but I hardly missed a gybe...the pressure of not wanting to be run over by those behind. A truely successpul day. P.S. vando has a very cheap board for sale- less the back end, thanks to a submerged rock wall![}:)]

Yes it was a good day, thanks simon for putting this series together. It was good to see some of the racing new-comers mix it up with the experienced guys- in fact lots of them beat vando

Great atmosphere and attitude from all involved.

They really need to put a sign up on the end of those submerged rocks though. I touched them at one stage and had to swim across, not fun with the wash.

Vando,

Was that the low part of boat harbour groyne that you ran over? Now I don't feel quite so stupid for doing the same thing about 5 years ago. Deceptive isn't it.

Al will be pleased. He doesn't like doing repairs you know.

I agree with you Mark. The rocks should be marked.

For the uninitiated, the rocks at the end of the "rock wall" at Manly actually extend abot 5-6 metres beyond the visible break line at a depth designed to take out a fin!!!.

As an experienced Manly sailor I have discovered this to my own peril!!! - OH and they are razor sharp!!

Good to see a great turn out at Manly with some Wello regulars showing up as well. Thanks to Simon at BC and the rest of the crew who turned up to support the initiative.
