I heard that Marty does an evo style board? Is this true? Are they refering to the Euphoria? What are they like? Who rides them? Where can I get one? How much do they sell for? I hate people who ask so many questions

hey ian

i'm thinkin of swithing from a starboard fish to a euphoria eventualy but was wondering how those 3 long fins effect the speed of the board, and can u sail them on 1 fin for bump and jump?!?!?!?

So whats the difference between the delta and the kinetic apart from one being custom and the other being production? If I was to get a 70L delta and a 70L kinetic would they perform the same? Or am I looking too deep into this? do they differ much in price? Miller, I heard that the boards point alot higher (like the fish) with the help from the 3 large fins and the wide tail helps for early planning but speed is not really an issue. The question in discussion would be "How does it wave ride?" but the board also comes with the option of small side fins. Would this make it looser? I'm sure you could ride it as a single fin? Who knows? I'm hoping to get these answers from Hardie and Ian730 and anyone else who rides the Euphoria delta or kinetic

I'm not that technically minded, nor am I that good, I love the baord, but it's a custom, 100 litres suits a 95 kg guy like me. My wifes board is smaller about 92 litres, is faster, and slashier, but not as good in lighter winds, she loves it, but we a middle-aged recreational sailors, not hot young guns. The board has definitely helped me in wavesailing though, I've got to another level for me. I use my delta in two configurations, thruster 3 smalls = slashier on wave face, better in stronger winds, and with larger central fin, planes earlier, points higher, better in lighter winds. Marty is always happy to discuss give him a ring!

Windy Miller, ideally the euphoria is set up with 2 types of fin configurations which come with the board, tri fin set-up (small side fins, bigger tail fin) and the thruster (3 equal size fins). The fin size on the thruster set up on my 85ltr board are all 115mm long. As for the speed of the board decreasing because of the 3 fins, well I can't notice it, but I'm only comparing it to the others that are sailing around me and as for only using 1 fin for bump and jump, I personally wouldn’t. I find the thruster set up and the tri fin set up work great and another advantage is that the board points higher and is also great in shallow water too!!

glad to get clarification on the lingo.

was talking with a surfing mate. he tells me that no-one uses the term thruster anymore. i didn't realise that tri fin is not a thruster.

cheers...
