Think I've asked this before but didn't get an answer.
Does anyone know if there is anywhere that I can get a cheapo mast cam setup?
There used to be some guys who sold them over the net (www.mastcam.net or something like that), based in Melbourne. They produced a gadget that could take a disposable waterproof camera, and the pics came out pretty good. The trigger was on the boom, and you just had to wind it on in the water after each shot. They were only about $70 - $80. But they said they don't make them anymore.
I could try making one but can't be bothered if I can get one that cheap.
I'm not interested in spending hundreds on proper mast/helmet cams or anything like that.

We have a modified mast cam unit along with some helmet cams that you are welcome to use for the short term.
Hit us with a PM and we will put you intouch with our main camera guy who we are pretty sure you know, and used to sail with out at Butterbox when you were both based on the Northern Beaches.
