Hi there, wondering if someone can give me some advise on this. Will I get away with a Drops GraphiteTec 37 size fine on my Star-board 145, 03 model.(77.5cm wide). I want to use it with a 6.5mt sail in heavier conditions, 20-25knots. I've tried a 32 fin in the past and not had a great deal of luck getting going. I normally use a 48 fin but have a hell of a time keeping the board on the water with this fin and the 6.5 sail on 20knot+ days. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. cheers, Ads

I wouldnt look at much bigger than a 37 for a 6.5 even on that width of board. With both fins you should probably move your mastfoot a little bit forward to give you more control with the big fin, also takes a little bit of pressure off the small fin and makes planing a bit easier.

32 is a little small for a 6.5 unless it is very consistant and relatively flat water.

Thanx mk, yeah must admit with the 32, it has generally been pretty gusty and choppy and I just tended to go side ways. I'm hoping the 37 it'll give me a bit more leverage and be a little more forgiving with my dodgy sailing technique! I'll give that mast a touch more space forward too. Thanx again
