In the 80's at a surf shop in Dunsborough you were able to buy a model windsurfer with a little man on it.
It was about 30cm long and it actually sailed and could surf little waves.
Can you still purchase them and where?
I figure if I cant sail due to lack of wind I could sail one of these in my spa and dream.

Get one of these and the decide if you want to make it work less well?

By the way this is a tuned version - the standard one wont have quite the same performance.

It was very similar in size to the radio controlled surfer, but it did not have an engine and we use to push it with the waves and it surfed all the way into shore.

Yeah you can still buy them,
but the little guy now weighs 120kg , is bald and hangs out at the early birds 5:30pm dinner at the bowls club.

In this day and age, why not try to find someone with a 3D printer and explain to them you want a little windsurfing dude. They might be able to design it up and print it out. You would probably have to make the sail separately.

There's a german company offering models of your favourite gear. Seems they mostly sail on office desks or living rooms.

The Germans were always the best at model making.
They look good but only for displaying on your desk.
Not bad for 20 Euros.
A german friend of mine Carston use to make hundreds of RC model boats up to a metre long all from Germany. They were very detailed and sailed and powered along beautifully.
